Alexander Kolte Bach (185 cm) is 25 years from Copenhagen and majors in Asian Studies at Copenhagen Business School. He studies politics and marketing, which mainly focuses on the Asian market, and he also studies Chinese, which he can speak fluently because he lived in China for two years.
The first time Alexander was in China he lived with a Chinese family and did volunteer work at a migrant school in the outskirts of Shanghai. He taught English to 120 Chinese children whom he ended up having a great learning experience with. While living with the Chinese family he not only learned the language, but also had the opportunity to learn about the Chinese culture, which he is grateful for. After six months he got accepted to East China Normal University in Shanghai where he studied Chinese for one semester. Afterwards, he went back home to Denmark and started studying at Copenhagen Business School (CBS).
Two years later the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs hired him as a Good Will Ambassador for the Denmark Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo. This was a great learning experience for him because he had to represent Denmark every day for thousands of Chinese and foreign visitors. He has therefore shown the Little Mermaid and given information about Denmark to politicians, royalties (including the princess of Thailand) as well as ordinary visitors. During the stay in Shanghai he appeared in two television talkshows where he promoted the Danish Pavilion and talked about his first time in China.
Traveling and learning about other cultures is something Alexander loves to do. He has traveled quite a bit and has learned how to adapt to new situations very quickly and understands the custom of various cultures. He is a very outgoing person who always has a smile on his face, and is always interested in learning new stuff.
He is into sports as well, and when he was sixteen he went to USA for a year to play basketball, which he was very passionate about during his youth. The sport has taught him a lot about self-discipline and how to have ambitions in life and set goals.
He has great expectations about what he wants to achieve in life. He is very determined, so when he sets a goal, he will not give up until that goal has been reached. Alexander has started to train his body, which, he believes, strengthens him physically but mentally as well. He enjoys working with his hands, and often does carpentry and woodwork with his father. Some of his other hobbies are psychology, and music, especially drums, which he played when he was younger.
Alexander is very proud to represent Denmark in Manhunt International 2012 and he looks forward to visit Thailand!
